Tomball Airport Car Service to IAH and Hobby
Tomball has one of the shorter airport runs in this part of the county. SH-249 drops you onto Beltway 8, and Bush Intercontinental is on the other side of that loop. Greg's Blackline sends a luxury SUV to Old Town, the Tomball Parkway neighborhoods or your hotel, tracks your flight and handles Hobby when your ticket calls for it.

Short hop to IAH, long haul to Hobby from Tomball
IAH is the obvious airport from Tomball. It is roughly 28 miles away, the whole ride stays on the north side of Houston, and the Beltway 8 approach is straightforward even for first-time passengers.
Hobby is the opposite end of the city. From Tomball the ride is long and crosses several freeway interchanges, so we only recommend it when your airline, fare or return flight lands there. If it does, tell us when you book and we will build in the extra time instead of squeezing it.
| From Tomball | Typical drive time |
|---|---|
| To George Bush Intercontinental (IAH) | typically 35 to 55 minutes |
| To William P. Hobby (HOU) | typically 65 to 105 minutes |
Drive times depend on traffic, weather and time of day. Your driver watches conditions and adjusts the route.
SH-249, Beltway 8 and the alternates from Tomball
- SH-249 (Tomball Parkway) is the main road south. Most pickups start by getting onto it from FM 2920, Main Street or the neighborhoods off the parkway.
- At Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) the route turns east toward IAH. Along the way the Hardy Toll Road connects in as another approach to the airport area.
- The Grand Parkway 99 and FM 2920 give us alternates if SH-249 is stopped, especially when you start on the west or north edge of town.
- For Hobby, the ride continues around Beltway 8 or into the city toward the Gulf Freeway side, and we pick the better option in real time.

Where Tomball pickups usually start
Tomball is small enough that most pickups are minutes from SH-249, but a few spots need a note.
- Old Town Tomball and the railroad depot area, where festival weekends and narrow streets mean a nearby side-street meeting point works better than the main drag.
- The Lone Star College-Tomball campus area, a common pickup for students and staff heading out on trips.
- Tomball Regional Medical Center and the Medical Complex area on the Tomball Parkway, close to the highway and easy to reach.

Setting your Tomball pickup time
- Early morning: for a 6:00 a.m. domestic departure from IAH, we typically suggest a pickup around 3:45 to 4:15 a.m. The short drive lets Tomball travelers sleep a little longer than most of the county.
- Weekday commute: SH-249 southbound typically slows around the Beltway 8 interchange from roughly 6:30 to 9:00 a.m., so a mid-morning flight may still need an early start.
- Coming home: SH-249 northbound typically builds up in the late afternoon and early evening, which can stretch the ride home from an IAH landing.
- Hobby flights: add substantial cushion beyond the IAH guideline, and call (281) 500-8616 so we can set the time with you.
These are planning guidelines, not guarantees. Call or text (281) 500-8616 and we will help you set the pickup time for your flight.
Meeting your driver at IAH and Hobby
At IAH, pickup is curbside at the terminal Passenger Pickup area. At Hobby, give us your airline and flight number and your driver confirms the pickup spot with you. Tomball travelers returning late can send us the flight number and we track the landing, so a delay does not leave you waiting alone.
Terminal details: IAH terminals and pickup and Hobby terminals and pickup. More options are on our airport transportation page.
