IAH and Hobby

IAH or Hobby from Katy: neither is close

From Katy, neither airport is a quick trip, so the choice usually comes down to your airline, fare and flight time. IAH is to the north, and Hobby is to the southeast.

We run both. The difference is mainly which side of the city you cross, and your driver watches I-10 conditions so you reach the terminal with time to spare.

Pickup context

Katy pickup context

Katy covers a lot of ground, so tell us which part of town you are leaving from.

  • Cinco Ranch, a large community with several gated sections near the Grand Parkway.
  • Historic downtown Katy, where we can arrange a clear spot near the main streets.
  • Katy Mills and the Grand Parkway area, a busy retail corridor with easy highway access.

Timing

When to leave Katy

  • Early morning: for a 6:00 a.m. domestic departure, we typically suggest a pickup around 3:15 to 3:45 a.m.
  • Weekday commute: eastbound I-10 typically slows heavily from roughly 6:00 to 9:00 a.m., so a mid-morning flight can still need an early start.
  • Coming home: westbound I-10 typically builds from the late afternoon into the evening, which can lengthen the ride back from an airport landing.
  • Leave earlier for either airport on weekday mornings and Friday afternoons.

These are planning guidelines, not guarantees. Call or text (281) 500-8616 and we will help you set the pickup time for your flight.
