Conroe airport car service

Conroe Airport Car Service to IAH and Hobby

Conroe sits at the top of the I-45 run into Houston, so Bush Intercontinental is the airport most Conroe travelers head for and Hobby is the one you choose on purpose. Greg's Blackline sends a luxury SUV to your door, tracks your flight and covers both airports.

IAH and Hobby

Which airport fits Conroe better, IAH or Hobby?

For most Conroe departures IAH is the easier call. You ride I-45 south the whole way to the north side of Houston, with no trip through downtown, and the airport is roughly 40 miles from central Conroe.

Hobby sits on the far southeast side, so a Conroe trip there is a much longer ride that crosses the whole city. It makes sense when your airline, fare or connection points you to Hobby, and we run it the same way. Tell us the flight and we handle the rest.

From ConroeTypical drive time
To George Bush Intercontinental (IAH)typically 45 to 70 minutes
To William P. Hobby (HOU)typically 75 to 115 minutes

Routes

The roads from Conroe to the airports

  • I-45 south is the spine of every Conroe airport trip. Most pickups reach it from Loop 336 or SH-105 and head south through The Woodlands.
  • Past the Grand Parkway 99 junction and Spring, IAH is reached by taking Beltway 8 (Sam Houston Tollway) east or the Hardy Toll Road toward the airport.
  • For Hobby, I-45 continues toward Houston and then works over to the Beltway 8 or Gulf Freeway side, depending on traffic.
  • If I-45 is backed up, the Hardy Toll Road is the usual alternative for the last stretch into the north side of Houston.

Pickup context

Conroe pickup spots we know

Conroe pickups are not all the same drive, so tell us where you are starting.

  • Downtown Conroe around the Montgomery County courthouse square, where the streets are tight and a cross-street meeting point can save time.
  • April Sound and other Lake Conroe neighborhoods, where gate access and a longer drive out to the highway are worth planning for.
  • Grand Central Park and the Loop 336 area, a quick hop onto I-45.

Timing

When to leave Conroe for your flight

  • Early morning: for a 6:00 a.m. domestic departure from IAH, we typically suggest a pickup around 3:15 to 3:45 a.m., which leaves room for the I-45 drive and bag check.
  • Weekday mornings: southbound I-45 through The Woodlands and Spring typically slows from around 6:30 to 9:00 a.m., so add cushion for a mid-morning flight.
  • Coming home: northbound I-45 tends to slow in the late afternoon and early evening, so a landing between 4:00 and 7:00 p.m. may add time to the ride back to Conroe.
  • Hobby trips need the most cushion of all. Add extra time on top of the IAH guideline, and we will help you pick a pickup time.

These are planning guidelines, not guarantees. Call or text (281) 500-8616 and we will help you set the pickup time for your flight.

At the airport

Meeting your driver at IAH and Hobby

At IAH, pickup is curbside at the terminal Passenger Pickup area. At Hobby, give us your airline and flight number and your driver confirms the pickup spot with you. Conroe travelers returning late can send us the flight number and we track the landing, so a delayed arrival does not strand you at the curb.

Questions

Conroe airport car service, answered.

Is IAH or Hobby the better airport from Conroe?

For most trips IAH is the better fit because it is a direct run down I-45 with no pass through central Houston. Hobby is a longer ride across the city, and it is the right choice when your airline or fare flies out of Hobby.

What route do you take from Conroe to IAH?

We typically take I-45 south through The Woodlands and Spring, then Beltway 8 or the Hardy Toll Road into the airport. If traffic is heavy on one, the driver can move to the other.

Can you pick up at a Lake Conroe home or in a gated neighborhood like April Sound?

Yes. Give us the address and any gate code or guest-list instructions when you book, and the driver will pull up at your door. Allow a little extra time for the drive out to I-45.

How early should I leave Conroe for a 7:00 a.m. flight out of IAH?

We typically suggest a pickup around 4:15 to 4:45 a.m. for a domestic flight, depending on traffic and how much time you want at the gate. Call (281) 500-8616 and we will set the time with you.

Can you meet me at IAH late at night and take me back to Conroe?

Yes. Send the airline and flight number so the driver can track the landing. Pickup is curbside at the terminal Passenger Pickup area.
